Frequently Asked Questions

Why are your prices so low compared to other visa preparation services?

Many international applicants believe that professional help for their visa applications is out of the question. Horizon Diploma was founded on the belief that everyone should be able to access America’ s higher education system. That’s why our services are competitively priced, while still retaining the quality you expect when hiring a visa service provider.

Can anyone get a visa to study in the United States?

No. There are certain situations where it is impossible for someone to get a visa to the United States, even as a student. There are a series of “grounds for inadmissibility,” which are reasons that someone will not be allowed to enter or remain in the United States. These include a record of committing certain crimes, national security reasons, fraud or misrepresentations, prior deportations, and others.

That is why we cannot guarantee that we will be able to take your case or that you will receive a visa, even if we do take you as a client. That is also why we always require international students to have a consultation with us first before signing up for one of our visa services. But even if there are obstacles (there usually are), we will still try our best to help you!

How does the visa application process work?

Almost everyone who is not a United States citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) needs to have a visa to study in the United States. These visas are issued by the Department of State at embassies and consulates in almost every country around the world. Applicants are required to fill out form DS-160, the Department’s form to apply for a nonimmigrant visa. Then, the applicant must attend an interview in person.

The Department of State makes it difficult to obtain an F-1 visa on purpose. This is to prevent people from applying to study in the United States for the purpose of immigrating illegally by overstaying their visa. So if, during the visa interview, the officer believes that you intend to stay in the United States after your studies are complete, your visa application will be denied. Horizon Diploma’s experts have worked at the Department of State and obtained F-1 visas to study in the United States, so they are extremely knowledgeable about these processes and pass this knowledge onto you as you apply for your visa.
